TechReflect 10/22
If i was asleep for a thousand years and suddenly woke up in this technological age, some things that can help me to get up-to-date with using technology is reading the Dummied Guide to computers and then playing around/exploring the computer and what it has to offer. After figuring out the computer, you can figure out any tech thing. Cellphones, itouchs, ipods, etc.
b.) What inspired Alan Kay is that he wanted to invent the future and for the computers he wanted the children to be able to work with it. Alan Kay accomplishe many things. He invented the Dynabook which is pretty much like the Personal Computer. He also helped develop the Macintosh which is the firt computer to incorporate many of Kays far-reaching ideas. After 12 years of being a researcher at Apple, he left to Disney where he developed Squeak. In 2002 he joined Hewlett-Packards research lab while continuing work with Viewpoints Research Institute. In 2004 he was given an award.

b) Choose 2 areas of impact to discuss 1-2 (in total 3) social & ethical issues related to internet connections.
Education-- Equality of Access: Students and teachers can search up educational information on the internet and will be allowed access to as much info as they want. - Control: Students and teachers have control over how much info they want and how much they dont want. - Reliability: Students and teachers feel comfortable and trust the internet connection to be able to use the internet and find information.
Health--Authenticity: A diseased human doesnt have to call up a hospital to ask about his disease but instead can go onto the hospitals website and see how they treat his kind of disease. - Integrity: However, though there are some accurate websites, some like Wikipedia, an ill human cannot always relie on it.
